LCD Screen : You probably suspect by now that the LCD screen on your iPhone/Samsung/Other is one of the most sensitive and vulnerable parts of your gadget. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens are commonly used in many electronic gadgets such as Phones, TVs and computer monitors. The screen is made up of ultra-thin layers.

The display on a typical phone is made up of two parts, the LCD display plus a transparent cover, known as a Lens or Glass that protects the delicate LCD. The display on a smartphone or iPhone is a one piece component comprising an LCD display with a touch screen sensor called a Digitizer, although sometimes the LCD and Digitizer can be separate components.

Most recycling comapanies won't accept phones when they have LCD Burn/ Damage. LCD is an expensive part to replace.

The 4 main reasons for your mobile phone LCD screen cracking

  • The mobile phone has been dropped.
  • The mobile phone has been carried in a back pocket. This results in compression and excess pressure on the display causing it to twist and eventually crack.
  • Something heavy hit or fell on the phone.
  • Over use of your phone (Games etc)

  • Avoid Dropping the Phone
  • Use a Protective Screen Film
  • Do Not Put More Pressure on the phone.
